Miss Yvonne Swim School offers Swim Lessons around the year!

  • After School Classes run all year round offered through recurring monthly/10 class/20 class subscriptions.

  • We have TWO Swim Camps - Summer and School Days Off !

Summer Camp

Enroll your child in Swim Camp, which will take place for 19 weeks this year starting from June 19th 2023! Choose from 6 different levels to build your child’s current swim level. All levels will have an opportunity to swim 2x per day and practice an additional 2x per day. Children will be given their own personal equipment to keep after camp is over. Swimmers will be taught aquatic safety skills, environment exploration and skills to become strong swimmers with proper form. All swimmers will receive a progress report at the end of each of their week’s session. You may sign up for as many weeks as you wish, no minimum.

School Days Off Camp

Enroll your child in Swim Camp, which will take place on multiple School holidays! All campers will have an opportunity to swim 2x per day and enagage in fun outdoor/indoor group activities. Children will be given their own personal equipment to keep after camp is over. This is the perfect way to up the ante and get even stronger, faster for next summer! Each day at Camp is like getting 4 weeks/one month worth of our weekly 30-min lessons. Take your child to the next level faster! You may sign up for as many sessions as you wish, no minimum.

Private Lessons

Miss Yvonne is available to help improve you and/or your child’s current swimming skills during the week and on the weekends by appointment. This would be one-on-one lesson and you/your child would have her full, undivided attention for the entire class. Lessons are scheduled week to week between you and Miss Yvonne. If you have a pool in your home, myself or one of our skilled instructors can offer concierge services to you as well. You simply pay per class every time that you meet. These lessons are tailored to your specific needs: safety, stroke technique, triathlete training, etc.

Private lesson programming is run year round by appointment.

10 and 20 Class Pass

Class passes offer the ability to block 10 or 20 weekly classes respectively, we will personally coordinate with you to select your desired date and time

Mommy & Me (Group)

Class for infants 5mo- 30mo 

In this class we will cover a range of skills: learning water safety with your child, how to initiate swimming, developing social skills, and having a fun time with songs! Classes are inspired by a passion for swimming and creativity.The swimmer will become acclimated to the water, get comfortable putting face in and jumping in with a submerged face/head. Skills like floating, kicking and bubble blowing are also mastered at this level.

Goal: Swimmer must be able to swim independently with a noodle to go onto the next level.

Mommy & Me group classes are offered every week, all year round.

Tadpoles Class (Group)

In this class, swimmers will become acclimated to the water, master putting their face in, jumping in (seated jumps), retrieving submerged objects. Skills like floating, kicking, arm pulling and bubble blowing are also mastered at this level.

Goal: Swimmer must be able to swim independently with only 2 of their swim floats keeping their head in the water and simultaneously kicking for three arm strokes to go onto the next level.

Ages 3 and up only. Equipment required*

Tadpole group classes are offered every week, all year round.

Tadpoles Advanced Class (Group)

In this class, “beginner“ Tadpole skills are already mastered. With 2 swim floats of assistance, we will work on getting the swimmers to propel themselves independently in the water. The swimmer will master how to float on their back for ten seconds unassisted and roll onto their front and swim independently towards the wall.

Goal: Swimmer will be able to independently keep their head in the water for three strokes and come up for a breath for five consecutive cycles. 

Equipment required*

Tadpole Advanced group classes are offered every week, all year round.

Starfish Class (Group)

In this class, swimmer must be able to keep their head in the water for 2-3 strokes and come up for a breath, for 3 to 4 body lengths unassisted to join this class. We will work on getting the swimmers to propel themselves independently with good Freestyle form and rhythmic breathing, rotary breathing for at least 15 yards. Treading water and standing dives will also be introduced.

Goal: Swimmer will improve their Freestyle form and rhythmic breathing; three arm strokes with rotary breath to the right and left consecutively for fifteen yards. Swimmer will become eligible to join the Swim Clinic Program.

Equipment required*

Starfish group classes are offered every week, all year round.

Flounder Class (Group)

In this class, the primary goal at this level is for students to learn to swim Backstroke for at least 15 yards. Swimmer can already swim Freestyle and will be improving their Freestyle endurance to 25 yards.

Goal: Swimmer will master the Backstroke skills. Swimmer will become eligible to join the Swim Clinic Program.

Equipment required*

Flounder group classes are offered every week, all year round.

Squiddie Class (Group)

Swimmer will learn to swim breaststroke for at least 15 yards. Swimmer can already swim freestyle and backstroke will be improving their endurance and form to 50 yards. Equipment required*

Goal: Swimmer will master the skill of Breastroke, coordinating  arm and leg movements for 15 yards  and be able to tread the water for at least one full minute. Swimmer will become eligible to join the Swim Clinic Program.

Squiddie group classes are offered every week, all year round.

Dolphins Class (Group)

Students will learn to swim butterfly stroke and flip turns. At this level, all skills introduced in previous levels must be mastered. They will also improve their freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke endurance. Equipment required*

Goal: Swimmer will master how to perform a front flip while swimming and be able to tread the water for at least 3 minutes. Swimmer will become eligible to join the Swim Clinic Program.

Dolphin group classes are offered every week, all year round.

Adult Class (Beginner)

This class is for the person who is unable to swim unassisted. The fundamentals of swimming will be covered in this class, getting over fears and gaining confidence in the water, putting head in the water, floating, combining arm and leg movement. Equipment required*

Adult Class group classes are offered every week on a Monthly basis all year round.

Adult Class (Intermediate)

This class is for the adult swimmer who can swim independently and is looking to gain technique to help refine their stroke to swim laps for exercise, or a distance such as a triathlon. Participants must be able to swim unassisted with their head in and out of the water to be eligible to join this class. The focus of this level is three strokes, one breath. Swimmer will work on propelling themselves independently with good from and rhythmic breathing. This is perfect for the swimmer who is looking to gain technique to help refine the stroke to swim laps for exercise, or a distance such as a triathlon. Equipment required*

Adult Class group classes are offered every week on a Monthly basis all year round.

Specialized programs

Listening to parents' valuable feedback and closely observing the needs of our students, Miss Yvonne Swim School has crafted innovative programs that prioritize their growth and happiness towards becoming Strong, Safe, Confident Swimmers!

MYSS Swim Clinic

This is a 90 mins Swim Clinic Practice involving a Dry Land workout, Swimming Drills in water all designed to simulate a Swim Team practice. Swimmer must have mastered the Flounder Level (see above for reference) in order to participate in this intensive coaching program.

Swim Clinic Coaching is offered every Tuesday on a Monthly basis all year round.

Friday Night Out and Saturday Afternoon Cabin Fever

Miss Yvonne Swim School now offers you a wholesome childcare option while you take that well deserved break!

A Friday Night Out (6:30-8:50PM) or Saturday Afternoon Cabin Fever (2:30-4:50 PM) session runs for TWO hours and TWENTY minutes. This program includes one hour of swim enrichment and pool games, followed by pizza, games and fun!

Friday Night Out and Saturday Cabin Fever programs are offered once a month on alternate months. Contact us to know more or to let us know your preference in dates.

ABOUT REGISTRATION:

  • The $50 registration fee is applicable for Group Classes, Private Classes, Summer Camps and School Days Off Camps.

  • The Registration Fee will cover the cost for each registered swimmer to have: swim goggles, swim cap, swim floatie (Tadpoles & Tadpole Advanced only), towel, swim bag.

    Campers (Summer Camps and School Days Off Camps) will receive one camp t-shirt and sports bottle in addition to the above.
