Hello Swimmers! Miss Yvonne here, believe it or not, I learned to swim at the late age of 15. Shortly thereafter my passion for swimming began, I then quickly became certified as a Water Safety Instructor (American Red Cross WSI Certified) and as a Lifeguard (American Red Cross CPR, First Aid & AED certified).

Since 2004, I have taught individuals of all ages and abilities through group & private swim lessons. My experience also spans from coaching proficient swimmers at the swim team level, as well as being a licensed educator in the State of NJ. Currently, I teach swimming as a Health & Physical Education teacher at a local middle school. As an undergraduate at Stevens Institute of Technology, I swam on the Division III NCAA Varsity Team. I also have a side passion and have experience working, as a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor.
I love finding ways to creatively integrate my unique experiences into our swimming classes through encouraging children to love exercise by swimming! Finally, I find value by maintaining an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification.
At MYSS, our team is very excited to share our love of swimming and passion for having fun in the water in a safe instructional environment. Our camp will immerse your child in programming that will be led by educated and trained Swim Instructors. Together we can create memories and foundations that will last a lifetime becoming strong, safe, happy swimmers together!

Having completed a Masters in Physical Education in 2013, I am a licensed teacher by the State of NJ. Also, I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor, which I integrate into class, encouraging children to love exercise by swimming!
I am also certified as a Lifeguard Instructor (American Red Cross LGI certificate). Our team is very excited to share our love of swimming and having fun in the water safely with your child. Our camp will immerse your child in programming that will be led by Teacher Counselors and together we can create memories and foundations that will last a lifetime becoming strong, safe, happy swimmers together!

Our mission at MYSS is to imprint a lifelong relationship with the water. Our goal is to provide the highest level of quality swim lesson instruction in a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment. We value the personal relationships built through the retainment of our outstanding customer service. We are continually focused on ensuring our clients walk away with a love for swimming; they feel safe and confident in their skills; that everyone progresses to their fullest potential; and that every interaction with MYSS in and out of the water is enjoyable. Lastly, we value our continued strength in building community relationships that aim to provide children with ample learning opportunities through our camps and swim lesson programming year-round.
