MYSS TC Spotlight: Miss Estephanie

I can’t do it all alone, and this is my other half, my work wife, the little sister I always wanted and never had and so much more than a Director Assistant. This summer will be Miss Estephanie’s 4th year with us and I’d be totally lost without her. Miss Estephanie has grown so much in the time she’s been with us from Teacher Counselor to Director Assistant. She’s the glue that holds it all together. In her own words…

“I have worked with Miss Yvonne Swim School since Summer 2016 as a Teacher Counselor and Concierge Swim Lesson Instructor, and a Camp Director Assistant. This summer I’m excited to about continuing to be the MYSS Camp Director Assistant and overseeing the operations and day to day activities.

I am a certified Elementary School Teacher. Throughout the school year, I am a third-grade teacher. In my free time, I love playing soccer and enjoy watching soccer games with my family.

My favorite thing about teaching swimming is watching students’ progression and confidence grow. Sometimes children may come into swimming lessons with predisposed fears regarding water. As they get stronger and stronger, watching them turn into fishes that never want to leave the water fills my heart.

I can’t wait to get back into the water for Summer Camp 2019! Teaching has always been my passion, and I love Miss Yvonne Swim School not only because it enables me to see the growth of emerging swimmers but it’s also great knowing that the skill that I am teaching can help protect their lives.”
